After power surges in the northern Ohio area caused the Northeast “Blackout of 2003,” and local hurricane damage caused lengthy power outages, everyone was eager to hear how Conectiv was prepared for future disasters. Ken Gates obliged by telling what happened during the blackout. As it turned out, Conectiv was well prepared and minimal outages were experienced.
